About the role

As a Credit Risk Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our credit risk operations. Your primary objective will be to identify, assess, and mitigate credit risks across our portfolio. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, lending, and collections, to develop effective risk management strategies and policies. By employing analytical techniques and industry best practices, you will help drive credit risk decisions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor credit risk across products and portfolios, identify emerging risks, and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
• Monitor macro-economic development and analyse portfolio impact.
• Conduct ad-hoc thematic analysis into specific segments
• Collaborate with credit analysts, data scientists, credit agents, pre-collection and product owners to develop our credit models, underwriting practices and risk management practices to meet the company risk appetite
• Report to credit committee, management and board of directors on credit risk development

Who you are

• B.Sc. in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in credit risk management within the financial services industry.
• Proficiency in data analysis. Strong SQL skills (or similar) a merit.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• A curious mindset to and genuine interest in technology, credit scoring models as well as business perspectives to provide an in-depth understanding of Froda’s underwriting and portfolio dynamics
• Strong understanding of lending and underwriting principles, as well as credit risk mitigation strategies.
• You have a pragmatic mindset and are able to identify and prioritize the significant risks
• You're comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
