About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Legal Officer to join Froda’s executive team. You will be a key driver of our legal, regulatory, and governance strategy - supporting both our existing operations and our rapid international expansion.

In your role you will

• Lead and develop Froda’s legal and governance functions across all markets, including corporate-, commercial and regulatory legal affairs
• Act as the key competence center and interpreter of relevant regulations and ensure that Froda is positioned in the forefront of the rapidly changing regulatory landscape
• Develop and drive governance frameworks and forums across the group and support in board and executive matters
• Navigate licensing processes and ongoing regulatory dialogues in multiple jurisdictions
• Act as strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on legal and regulatory risk
• Support commercial negotiations, partnerships, and product innovation

Who you are

• European law degree
• 10+ years of legal experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house roles
• Strong knowledge of EU and Nordic financial regulations and licensing regimes
• Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries
• Track record of advising executive teams and boards on legal strategy, risk and governance
• Proven ability to build and lead legal teams in high-growth environments
• Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, business-minded approach
• High integrity, sound judgment and decisiveness under pressure
• Ability to move between strategic and high-level perspectives down to detailed hands-on matters
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and EnglishLead cross-border legal structuring in collaboration with local counsel
