About the role
Froda is looking for a Head of Accounting to support the company in its continued growth by developing and optimizing accounting processes and ensuring high-quality financial reporting. This is a strategic and hands-on role where you will lead the accounting function and work closely with senior leadership.

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and driving improvements to meet the evolving needs of the business. As Head of Accounting, you will also lead the accounting team (team of three), making leadership and people development an important part of your work. You will play a key role in supporting Froda’s expansion and make a tangible impact on Froda’s financial foundation and success.

As Head of Accounting your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Lead the accounting team, with staff responsibility, including development, performance, and alignment with organizational goals'
• Application of accounting principles, where you will make sure new and existing products are correctly accounted for
• Lead the day-to-day accounting and book-keeping including monthly closing of books, reconciliation activities etc.
• Be responsible for the annual report and other financial reporting, including ensuring that new reporting requirements are implemented
• Lead the ongoing coordination and planning of audit
• Work with continuously improving accounting processes as the business and its underlying complexity grows
• Take part in ad hoc projects and have the opportunity to put forward and drive projects on your own
• Have a central role and work closely with senior management, reporting directly to the CFO

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you are faced with various challenges that will help you to continuously grow your skills.

You have:

• M.Sc. degree in business, accounting or finance (or similar)
• 5+ years of working experience within accounting - e.g. as as an auditor, consultant or as accounting specialist within an organization
• Experience from working with IFRS and in particular IFRS 9 within financial institutions
• Strong conceptual and problem solving ability with a strong attention to detail and a pragmatic attitude
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team with a willingness to have a diverse set of tasks and responsibilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (Swedish and English)

Meriting:

• Experience from working with accounting in a managerial/supervisory role
• Experience from analytical work experience and an understanding of SQL
